How to turn off the display timer?
Hello. I have an old Sony VCR. Whenever I play a video, the timer on the VCR also displays on the television screen. This is really disturbing when I watch a video with subtitles. Is it possible to remove this timer.
It's a Sony: SLV-595HF
I have the remote and all, but I really don't want to play around it too much.

My Sony remote has a button marked "Display". You can use it to turn the timer on and off.
