Sony Steady Shot - does it imprint a unique code into pictures?
Basically I used to have the sony cyber-shot DSC-S950. After it being misplaced, it was found, however there is a conflict in which a girl thinks it might be hers (she had the same camera). Is there any way for me to compare the pictures taken with this camera with the ones that I took before? I mean, is there a code that is specific to the camera so that I can either determine "yes, these pictures were taken by the same camera?"

In that type of inexpensive compact camera the 'meta data' (the info that's recorded when you take a picture) wouldn't include anything to distinguish your Cybershot from anyone else using the same model camera.
Next time you get a camera, keep the box & receipt (someplace findable) and record the serial number (S/N) from the camera to save in the box in case something like this arises again...
