Nikon D80 or Canon Xti?

I am 12 years old and im buying my first dslr. My choices are:
Canon Rebel Xti/400d $410 http://www.gocamerashop.com/product_info.php?products_id=741

Nikon D80 $600 http://www.gocamerashop.com/product_info.php?products_id=639
I was also wondering if camera shop inc. is reliable?
Apparently itz a partner with ritz camera.

Both are reliable ...

The Internet camera shop however may not be. Certainly not in partnership with Ritz ... Company Address:Room 11D, Building A, DuHui100, ZhongHang Road, HuaQiang North, Futian District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China

Here is a link to a reputable camera shop on the internet.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/457541-REG/Canon_1236B001_EOS_Digital_Rebel_XTi.html

As you see, that camera is discontinued and cost much more than the $400 stated on your link

The camera may be a reconditioned camera, gray market or both.

The fact that the include a one-year warranty, extra battery and a lot of other enticements, says "gray market" camera.

IF anything goes wrong with a gray market camera, you have to send it to an International Canon repair facility ... that means import/export hassles and if the work is not covered by the warranty, you have to pay by an International money order ... this can take months

You would be better off looking for your camera on Amazon. They typically have the best prices for USA cameras, whether NIKONUSA or CANONUSA

Whether you buy the Nikon or Canon should have to do with which fits your hands the best and is the easiest for you to navigate through their menus

This means you will have to visit a camera store and actually hold them both in your hands and "test" them ... take a SD memory card with you and actually record the results of your tests ... then view those results on your nice large computer monitor at home ... then you will know.
