Why do my infrared night vision camera led's light up!!!?
I've had security issues around my place so I bought a security system. It seems to work well. It only has one major flaw....there is a ring of red led's that come on each camera at night!!!
I wanted to have a stealthy hidden camera type system to not deter vandals but catch them!! It's going to pretty hard to do that with 70 red led's all over my property.
IR technology is supposed to be invisable to the naked eye....so why are these all lighting up??? Your knowledge is appreciated.
The red LED's are emitting IR light so your fancy cameras can see in the dark. If they are bright enough to see by with the naked eye, you bought cheap stuff. Having said that, even the good ones can be seen if you know where to look, although there isn't much to see. Little red dots is all you should be able to see.
