No audio output device installed?! HELP, i have done EVERYTHING but no results....?

Im driving crazy as im typing this, look, i recently upgraded my pc to windows 7 however, there problems with some drivers as my sound was not enabled, this is the weird thing, i have a nvidia 8400 card with hdmi entrance, so, after entering to device manager i see under audio drivers that there are 4 nvidia hd audio drivers.... but still no sound...

I have done everything from installing every single audio driver which i could found with no results, to uninstalling all nvidia drivers but unfortunatelly these damn drivers still reinstall due to windows update

I have installed realtek drivers but these are not showing in the device manager, i believe this is due to output sound being only sending signal to hdmi ports and completely ignoring the onboard audio

I have enabled onboard sound in my bios setting BUT STILL NO SOUND, what pisses me even more, is that MIC IS WORKING BUT NOT SPEAKERS....

Im seriously thinking in grabbing a baseball bat and smash my desktop lol

Please read what ez80227 and Greenz said, and I want to add some shallow opinions here:

1. Remember to download the driver for Windows 7 not the driver for Windows XP.
2. Chances are the onboard audio chip is not functioning.

Troubleshooting No-Sound Problem:
1.Check the Speaker Connections and Volume Control Settings
2.Verify that the lack of sound is not due to faulty speaker connections. A simple way to test it is to substitute the speaker connection with headphones and see if you get any sound.
3.Open the volume control window by clicking your "Start" button and then "All Programs." Click "Accessories," then "Entertainment," then "Volume Control." Alternatively, just click on the speaker icon that's in your System Tray.
4.Check the volume and mute settings. If any of the mute check boxes have been checked, uncheck them. If this doesn't work, read on.
5.Perform a System Restore If Necessary
6.If the sound has been audible from your computer's speakers and is suddenly lost, you may need to perform a System Restore. Click on the " Start" button and then "All Programs."
7.Click on "Accessories," then "System Tools," then "System Restore."
8.Complete the System Restore Wizard. If this doesn't work, read on.
9.Delete and Reinstall the Original Sound Drivers
10.Deleting and reinstalling your sound driver may resolve the problem. Your sound driver may have been corrupted or may be missing. The result of this is that the restore utility menu won't be available. For Windows XP, follow these steps.
11.Click on your "Start" button. Click on "Control Panel" and then "System." Next, click on "Hardware," then "Device Manager, then "Sound, Video and Game Controllers."
12.Click on a sound device named in the Device Manager, and then press the Delete key on the keyboard. Click "OK" in the window that appears. Remove all the listed sound devices i this way EXCEPT Audio Codec and Legacy Audio Drivers.
13.Restart your computer. Reinstall the deleted drivers using the Driver and Application Recovery CDs that came with your Windows XP system.
14.Visit your computer manufacturer's official website. Check for any updated sound driver software for your sound card. If any, download them along with the installation instructions.
