"Ambiance"
Deep within the shoreline, against land and sea
There are shards of a promise that never came to be.
Within polluted skies that tarnish the stars
I connect the vapor trails, which outline our scars.
And from this sleepy town, beneath every mistake
I imagine the sunrise that lies in its wake.
Buried away behind the feel of your skin
Are the feelings repressed from the mess that I’m in.
And somewhere riding on the scent of your breath
Is the right turn I made when I was meant to go left.
Behind lidded eyes, which mask the light of day
There is way more than amnesty I’ve hidden away
Through this window, confining darkness to a box
I can see the destination of all our past walks.
Yet, within these foreign chambers, I still seek what is mine
The soul ever tarnished by the slow decay of time.

I love it :)
