Does animation encode differently than live-action video?
In the context of encoding video, specifically MPEG-4 and H.264 encoding, does whether the video contains animation or 'real' video make any difference? Is animation 'easier' to encode? Does it lead to smaller file sizes?
Is it fair to compare the performance of a codec while encoding animation to real video?
Animation is usually easier to display. You'll notice more of a difference with real video than animation when it comes to lower bitrates.
